As
I get older, the more I want to try everything. In case, I have the
talent, you see. Haha. So last year I took up sewing lessons. Trust me, I
do not know how to sew before so its kind of nerve-wrecking. I went and
took 8 weeks course in sewing a top and skirt. Half way I did thought
of quitting coz it seem so difficult but I stayed and in the end, I did
finished my project. Haha. Wanted to continue in Freestyle Dressmaking
but it was cancelled due to insufficient participant so now I stopped. But how I
miss sewing on my sewing machine. Really. I'm no expert but this is the end project. Hehe.
Haha. It looked ok though. InsyaAllah, if I still have the time and money, I will want to take up sewing classes again.
So last year, I did baking too. The opportunity came unexpectedly. But Alhamdulilah for it. It started with the thought of baking for our birthdays. Our as in my good friends, Yuni, Pisang, Eyzzah and me! Our birthdays are in October, 10th,12th,16th & 19th respectively. Very near to each other so we decided to make a birthday bash for us and bake our cake.
Our first Rainbow Cake! After this was posted in our IGs, 2 of our friends who are heavily pregnant at that time, wanted to eat it so we decided to be a good Samaritan and bake 2 small rainbow cake for each of them.
And then, alot of enquiries came in and we decided to take orders! Just like that and CakesOhCakes was born. These are a few cakes/cupcakes that we have baked so far.
Its been only 3 months now but we did ok for the last month. Alhamdulilah for the unexpected rezki. There will always ups and downs to doing business. Eventhough, there is alot of competitions out there, we will still try to do our very best to give the customer satisfaction. InsyaAllah. May this business bloom and also our friendship, ladies! On another note, I think my weight will not go down anytime soon coz every other day, I will stuffed myself with our cupcakes. :S
